Acoustica's Vibration Damping Plate is designed to absorb vibration occurring in boats and other vehicles, in factories and other buildings subject to noise and vibration.
The Vibration Damping Plate comprises a captive 'viscoelastic' damping membrane sandwiched between two layers of marine ply; this plate is bonded to a resilient double punched high density sound absorber housed within two layers of resilient de-coupler.
Acoustica’s Vibration Damping Plate is designed to be used with the “viscoelastic” membrane stressed both in compression and in shear and is designed to absorb vibrations through both compression and shear when vibrations arrive at the mounting in two planes at right angles to the longitudinal and vertical axis
Acoustica’s Vibration Damping Plate effectively stops noise by damping and the treatment of the secondary generated structural vibrations.
Acoustica’s Vibration Damping Plate is used as a anti-vibration mounting plate for marine generators, industrial and process machinery.
It is easy to install and (like all our products) is fire-rated to International and Australian Standards.
